Roy Nelson

I am a native Midlander. I was able to get away from West Texas and expand my experiences going to Texas A & M University and earning a B. S. in Meteorology. I had some experiences in the oil & gas exploration field and even had a valuable adventure working in environmental science in Alabama. I returned to Midland, completed a second degree in Geology at UTPB, then found my way to State Farm. I spent 11 years handling claims for automobiles and even had some experience in handling catastrophes. I was blessed to start Roy Nelson - State Farm Agency in 1996. As a business owner, I direct my team in handling customer needs and service for auto insurance, homeowners insurance, renters insurance, small business insurance, life insurance, health insurance, and financial services. We especially try to make a difference in helping our customers with handling claims and then we make distinction in my being accessible to customers. We are able to help serve customers throughout Texas. I have bilingual team members and notary services are available. If you are relocating to the Midland or Odessa area, my office is here to help in your transition.

I am involved in my community and I serve my community in my affiliations with: Midland Chamber of Commerce, Midland Memorial Hospital - Board of Governors, Abel Hangar Foundation Board, Midland A&M Club, University of Texas Permian Basin Business School Advisory, Midland West Rotary, Emmaus Community, Kairos Prison Ministry, and Greater Ideal Family Life Center Board, the local chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and others. I am also active serving in my church at Greater Ideal and enjoy the West Texas Chapter of Gospel Music Workshops of America.

My family includes my wife Carolyn, a former teacher at Midland Independent School District, 2 daughters, and even grandchildren. I have reason to feel blessed and want to help others recognize financial peace and assurances with services that are available to them.
